Gina grew up in West Covina, CA and after high school, took her first job in insurance. Being a natural “people person” and a quick learner, she excelled in her career.
While working at Ingham, Coates & Payne, an old-line agency with its roots dating back to 1918, she met Dana Coates, but because Dana was one of the owners at ICP, Gina needed to transition to a different company. Through Gina’s focused efforts, first at C.G. Anderson & Associates, and then later for seventeen years at Bolton & Company, Gina honed her skills in Risk Consulting for Successful Families and Business Management.
Structuring personal insurance plans for successful people is more of an art, than a science. For more than 35 years this has been Gina’s primary focus, along with raising the Coates’ two (now married) children.
But not every family has a mansion; some have teenagers driving expensive cars, while others live in the mountains or at the beach and sail yachts, a few even fly aircraft.
Whatever the combination of needs, Gina and her team have the know-how to craft solid insurance portfolios to meet those needs, one family at a time.
Gina is quick to point to the fact that she does not consult on life insurance, although this is often an important part of a successful family’s risk management portfolio. For these specialized services, Gina relies on the expertise of other seasoned experts, one of whom is Martin Strauss.
Today, Gina is the woman owner, is Hispanic, and is the President of United Western Insurance Brokers, Inc.
On February 25, 2019, in collaboration with five other exceptional Southern California Agencies, UWIB became a founding member of ALKEME, (pronounced Al Ka Me). This new generation of insurance incubation will provide unsurpassed resources (market access, business coaching, and highly advanced technology) to its growing number of members. Today, ALKEME holds appointments with all major carriers, is licensed across the nation, and has surpassed $300 MM is premium volume. https://uwib.com/alkeme
